For the past little bit it has been movies, movies and more movies. I thought I’d share a couple that caught my eye.
Movies in Theaters this Week:
Last week I saw Lakeview Terrace which I thought was a very well done movie. Then last night a friend and I decided to have a movie night which included going to see Eagle Eye and My Best Friends Girl. In my opinion they were both worth the 7 dollars I spent on seeing both of them.
EAGLE EYE – “Two strangers become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met, but who seems to know their every move. Realizing they are being used to further her diabolical plot, they must work together to outwit the woman before she has them killed. Starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Azizi and Billy Bob Thornton.”
“MY BEST FRIENDS GIRL is an outrageous, sexy, no-holds-barred romantic comedy staring Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs and Alec Baldwin. Smart, beautiful and headstrong, Alexis is the girl of Dustins dreams. But after only five weeks of dating, the love-struck Dustin is coming on so strong that Alexis is forced to slow things down permanently. Devastated and desperate to get her back, Dustin turns to his best friend, Tank, the rebound specialist. A master at seducing and offending women, Tank gets hired by freshly dumped guys to take their ex-girlfriends out on the worst date of their lives an experience so horrible it sends them running gratefully back to their beaus.”
LAKEVIEW TERRACE – “A young interracial couple move into their dream home and are increasingly harassed by their next-door neighbor, a tightly wound black LAPD officer. When the couple decides to fight back the feud turns deadly.” Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Wilson, and Kerry Washington.
And I will also mention on Tuesday the chick flick of the year “Sex and the City” came out on DVD. I did not get a chance to see it in theaters but I did go out and buy it, and I loved it.
SEX AND THE CITY – “Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda continue their adventures in both sex, and Manhattan, four years after the series ended. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Christopher Noth, racks of designer clothes and the city of New York. Directed by Michael Patrick King.”
