Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park

From November 15, 2008 through January 1, 2009 Tanglewood Park of Clemmons, North Carolina becomes a spectacular winter light show that is open to the public. Visitors can drive their own vehicles through the course or for a fee take a hay ride or carriage ride. There are over one hundred displays and over a million lights filling up the park. View a map of the light displays here.

On November 20th I visited the park for this first time this year and was amazed that no cars were in front of our car or behind. It’s normally slam packed, it was actually quite nice. I was determined to get a video going through the park, but I ran out of memory. I did get some pictures of some of the displays and will hopefully have a video up soon. =)

Our family loves Tanglewood…especially the kids. We were not so lucky with the traffic situation, but it was not as bad as we expected.

I went around November 20th this year. A little early, yes, but there was barely any traffic at all. I was amazed since I’m use to the mild to heavy traffic Tanglewood brings in around the holidays.
