When I watched “The Last Kiss” one of the songs that stood out to me was ‘Ride’ by the Cary Brothers. Then the other day while going through my iTunes library I rediscovered the song and realized how much I liked it. The music video, above, was done by celebrity photographer Tyler Shields and stars actress Brittany Snow.

I just ran across this stop motion video called “Fat City Reprise - Long Gone” by Cesar Kuriyama, which was created from 45,000 photos taken by a Nikon D200 DSLR. I fell in love with it and thought I’d share.
It’s been cleaning and errand time for me. Between that, the 365 day project and school I’ve been incredibly busy.
There’s a new MySpace around which just to happens to be my new account! You can take a look at the new page at myspace.com/cathryngray!
I have some more neat goodies in store, including a contest to win a Canon SELPHY Photo Printer! One way to keep up with what’s going on is by signing up to my RSS feed through your reader or by email updates.
I’m wondering what exactly I have gotten myself into with this self portrait a day for 365 days project. I know I’m in crazy need of a tripod and a wireless remote. I thought that I would possibly be looking at spending about $100 for one. Boy, I was wrong! I found the Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control for only $22. I’m stoked!

There’s so much I want to accomplish in 2009 and to start the year off with a bang I’ve decided to start a challenge, the 365 day self portrait project. My first photo is uploaded:

While being extremely excited about the project and contemplating how the end result will be, I’m a bit nervous because it’s a pretty big commitment. I’m hoping this project will inspire me to get to know my camera better along with myself. Plus let you, my readers, see more of an intimate side of me. For right now I’m just going to stick to uploading them to Flickr in my 365 days of Cathryn set for now, but I have thought about making a website for just this project.
About a week ago I came upon 90D90 site and thought the idea was really neat. I plan on making a slideshow of all the photos I’ve taken with my D90 in the first 90 days of having it. The 90th day will be on March 22nd. =]
The New Year started off a little rough for me and my family. I’ve posted a couple tweets about the absence. If you’d like to follow what’s going on be sure to follow me on Twitter.
After being bruised and beaten over the past year by my clumsiness, my second iPhone took it’s last tumble out of my hand to it’s death. (The story on why it’s my second) I’m now contemplating between the black or white iPhone 3G.

I thought I’d finish off 2008 and the holiday season with a video I shot while going through a Christmas light display. I’ve got some surprises up my sleeve for 2009, so keep tuning in!
