The user twoeggplants on Etsy.com has made it possible. What a crazy, awesome idea! The iPhone soap is said to be about the same size as the real deal.

“It has the black button at the bottom and the “screen icons” in its “flat screen”. The top layer of the soap is dark grayish black and the bottom layer is a slightly lighter shade of gray. I must say that this is one of my coolest creations and each feature is meticulously created.”
It weighs about 3 ounces and the two that are available come scented either Mojito or Tropical Mango. You can even customize the fragrance or have none at all. Honestly perfect gift for a friend who loves iPhones, or even yours truly.
You can check it out on Etsy.com

That’s right! The iPhone 3.0 software will be available this summer to iPhone users and iPod Touch users with over 100 new features for the consumer. Today Apple held a press conference at the Town Hall auditorium to show a first look into the new software.
Did you know?
Some of the Features that will be available are:
iPhone 2G owners will not have all the new features avalible to them, which makes me think that it was the perfect time for my 2G to die! Also, iPod touch users will be paying $9.95 for the update.
I’m most excited about finally having landscape capabilities with SMS, plus copy and paste! Both were simple features that have been left out over the past two years, but thankfully are going to be with us soon. I’m also exciting about the Sims 3 coming to the iPhone! Hopefully this summer!!
What are you looking forward to? Was there something that wasn’t announced that Apple forgot about?
The New Year started off a little rough for me and my family. I’ve posted a couple tweets about the absence. If you’d like to follow what’s going on be sure to follow me on Twitter.
After being bruised and beaten over the past year by my clumsiness, my second iPhone took it’s last tumble out of my hand to it’s death. (The story on why it’s my second) I’m now contemplating between the black or white iPhone 3G.

I thought I’d finish off 2008 and the holiday season with a video I shot while going through a Christmas light display. I’ve got some surprises up my sleeve for 2009, so keep tuning in!
Seeing that Christmas is almost a week away it’s about time to make my official Christmas wish list.

I just plugged in my iPhone to back it up and voila there it was: “A new iPhone software version (2.2) is available for the iPhone “Cathryn’s iPhone”. Would you like to download and install it now?”. The update is here and claims to have many bug fixes and improvements for the iPhone and iPhone 3G including:

2) Enhancements to Mail:

So far there has been no mention of copy and paste, MMS, or landscape view of text messages. Hm, I’m still waiting Apple. I’ll keep you updated as I play with my phone and hopefully find some other neat improvements for the iPhone. =]
Ah-ha! The Google Mobile iPhone App with search-by-voice is available via the iTunes store now. I downloaded it last night and began playing around with it. I can definitely see it coming handy while being in the car trying to find restaurants in the area or looking up something I can’t figure out.
When I opened the App I was greeted by this boy, I’m assuming he’s hungry for a cheeseburger:

Then I hit the “Voice Search” button and got the “Speak now” screen:

After that it tells you that the App is working and then pops up with the search results. It’s really as easy as they have made it out to be.
This morning free AT&T WiFi for iPhone users is confirmed by this free text message from AT&T saying:
Exciting! The AT&T website claims that “they know what’s hot”. Apparently they do! iPhone users can receive Wi-Fi from places like airports, hotels, universities, convention centers, sports centers, Starbucks locations that are equipped with a hotspot, restaurants, bookstores, and even SUPERMARKETS!
Users can access the Wi-Fi by:

I’ve gone a little app crazy I guess you could say, with 76 iPhone applications that have been listed on my post “Downloaded iPhone Apps“. The next question is which apps are my favorites and most used? Of course the Phone, Camera, Text, Safari, Mail, and App Store are at the top. Other than the vitals here’s the list of my favorite and most used apps that I’ve downloaded via the App Store.
Shazam
I’ve always wanted to be able to know what that song I just listened to on the radio was and the announcers would never say. Shazam comes in handy for knowing. All you do is hit the “Tag Now” button on the top right corner and let the app do the identifying for you.
Movies
The name speaks for itself. Movies lists a catalog of over 50,000 films and more than 10,000 trailers. You can see when and where the movie is playing at local theaters and even see what others have rated the movie before you go out and see it.
Facebook
Oh the Facebook app! What more do you need other than complete mobile Facebook? With the recent update it’s more functional than ever, you’re on Facebook, just without the computer. I would like to see the wall-to-wall feature on the application.
Remote
Remote turns your iPhone into a mobile iTunes library right from your computer. It comes in handy when you’re listening to music across the office or house and you don’t want to run all the way back to your computer to pick the next song. All you need is a WiFi and about 3 minutes to configure everything.
Twinkle
Twinkle is Twitter on location and picture steroids. You don’t even have to have a twitter account to chat with people that are nearby or halfway around the world. I use it to update my twitter account when I’m not around my laptop and to attach photos I’ve taken from my iPhone.
Wurdle
I must warn you I’m a huge Boggle nerd, born and raised I guess you could say. Wurdle takes Boggle to another level and integrates it with the iPhone. I’m in love. Wurdle claims in the App Store that it’s the most popular paid word game on the iPhone.
Scrabble
EA has brought Scrabble to the iPhone. I’m just reading what is in the new version and it seems that two players can link via WiFi to play against each other. That will come handy when my mom and I are bored together somewhere, no one will ever know what exactly we’re doing.
Tap Tap
Is like Dance Dance Revolution for your fingers. I can’t quite get the hang of it, but I’ll keep trying.
EA announced that The Sims 3 is scheduled for release on the iPhone along with Need for Speed Undercover. These are on my list to keep a look out for!
“EA Mobile today also announced nine titles in development for the iPhone and iPod touch, pending regional availability. This list includes YAHTZEE Adventures, EA Mini Golf, Lemonade Tycoon™, Mahjong, MONOPOLY: Here & Now The World Edition, SimCity, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09, Need for Speed™ Undercover, and The Sims™ 3.”
Happy iPhone-ing!!!
